Works equally well for most fruits and vegetables, and is a must-have for any home cook and professional chef alike. It is even safe for younger cooks to operate the slicer, as it easily creates spiral, ribbon, noodle and other fancy cuts using no electricity or moving blades. Three durable stainless-steel blades are included with the spiral slicer. The shredding blade is made up of small 1/8-inch holes for thinner noodles. The chipping blade features 1/4-inch holes that yield thicker strands for curly fries and the like. The straight blade can be used to make endless spiral cuts of anything from squash to apples. All three blades can be stored with the slicer: The frame incorporates a slide-in storage shelf for any two blades, while the third one is kept in place for use.
